Advanced Placement (AP)

Compton High offers AP courses that provide students a unique learning experience that will help them prepare and ready for college.  These courses are college credit and advance placement. Teachers are expected to provide students the experience beyond memorizing facts and formulas but rather engaging them in intense discussions, collaborative  problem solving and learning to write clearly and persuasively. All students are expected to take the AP examination at the end of the year as a part of the requirement for all courses. AP course follow a curricular path from 9th grade.  These course were designed and organized to better prepare student for rigorous college work and content expectations.
